Was it a real friendship?

Was it a real friendship?

Do you know any way to get to know if you have a real, good friend? I thought I knew. But what should I say now when my "good friend" gave me up alone and left lonely in silence?
A few days ago I lost one of my best friends as I thought that time. Vika (Victoria) and I were very familliar and good friends. We knew almost all the things about each other. We shared our problems, tried to solve them together, arranged the parties, spent a lot of time together, helped each other with school subjects. But one moment she decided to stop being friends. Why?
About a week I have been trying to find an answer but all is in vain! I tried to speak to Vika but she pays no attention for me. And i'm in confusion. I can't understand what was the reason to leave your best friend at once and without any words.
It seems to me, people are right to find the ways to make a peace in all the world. But why they try to change a life of the whole planet, of hundreds of countries when in unique cities, houses, families and small communities of people there is no peace and very difficult relationships? Perhaps, it's worth trying to make a peace first in small groups and only after that to say all the humanbeings to stop argues and fighting....

My first time of being an alien
Related to country: France

In April I took part in the regional language contest for high school students in French. I was sure - the winner won't be me. But... I got a first prize - free jorney to France!!
Several months later I went to Paris! It was my first visit to France and even going abroad.
Paris is so amazing city that it seems to me I've never seen anything more impressive and unusual. Its narrow streets, low old houses, slow Senne and friendly Parisians became so familliar for me that I couldn't imagine my soon departure.
Can I be right telling that 8 days in Paris are enough to love it and feel there at home? Well, hopefuly, I can. Anyway, my visit gave me much new knowledge, lots of impresssions and a great experience. My cultural knowledge was enriched in Versailles, Louvre, the Army Museum, Midle Age Museum, Roden's Museum, Orsey and, of course, I got a plenty of skills in communication with people absolutely different from me (in language, race, color of skin and lots of other things).
One more thing I learnt in Paris is how to be an alien. As a foreigner I felt quite curious, safe and friendly met. All the people even strangers always smiled and told me:"Bonjours, mademoiselle!", when I asked them for something. They apologized to me even if I stepped on somebody's foot in a crowd. I was amazed people's friendliness in Paris.
So, I can say that my first experience of being an alien is unforgettable. And of course, it wouldn't be so if a friendly and easy atmosphere were not in my jorney.
"City-Flower" (as the Chinese say about Paris) openned the world for me.
